Refund policy
Our return period is 8 days. After 8 days from the date of purchase, we cannot offer refunds or exchanges.
To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused and in the same condition as when you received it. Please make sure to return the item using the original packaging materials used when you received it.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please note that for international shipments, returns may not be accepted even if the item is unused and a proof of purchase is provided.
Partial refunds may be granted in the following situations:
- Books with obvious signs of use
- Items that have been opened
- Items damaged or partially missing for reasons not due to our error
- Items returned more than 8 days after delivery
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within a certain number of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchange (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at nikken-shop@nikken-japan.com and send your item to the following address.

Please note that the shipping cost for returning the item is your responsibility. Additionally, shipping costs are non-refundable, so please be aware of this. If you request a refund, the return shipping cost will be deducted from your refund amount.
Depending on your location, it may take some time for exchanged items to be delivered, so please be patient.
If the price of the returned item exceeds ¥100,000, consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We are not responsible for any damage or loss that may occur during the return shipping process.
